JetBlue Introduces Free TrueBlue Points Pooling for “Families”

JetBlue introduced its latest TrueBlue option: free sharing of points with family members and/or small groups.

Under the program, a “head of family” is designated to set up an account on the website, jetblue.com/familypooling. A user-friendly tutorial is on the site. The family can be defined as same sex partners, book club members or the traditional intergenerational travelers.

“TrueBlue is a loyalty program that rewards all of our customers, regardless of their frequency. Some customers choose JetBlue exclusively for family travel, while others mix business and family travel,” stated Dave Canty, director of loyalty marketing and partnerships at JetBlue Airways. “Families may not travel with us as often, but with Family Pooling they still get to enjoy their rewards.”

The launch of Family Pooling will be held Oct. 11, at the start of the Columbus Day holiday weekend. A TrueBlue Family Pooling Carnival at JetBlue’s New York-JFK terminal will inform travelers about the program. More than 1,500 families are expected to travel through the terminal during the weekend, and they will be able to play old-fashioned carnival games. TrueBlue points can be earned as prizes.
