Palace Resorts, the company that sets the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations, proudly hosted two unforgettable performances by Grammy-winning funk group Kool & The Gang and legendary “I Will Survive” singer Gloria Gaynor on Nov. 18 and 19, 2016, at the brand’s signature property Moon Palace Cancun.

Both artists delighted guests during back-to-back dinner shows at Moon Palace Arena that featured a set list filled with hits, a five-star meal and open bar.

Grammy Award-winning Kool & The Gang, currently celebrating the group’s 50th anniversary after selling more than 70 million albums worldwide, performed hits including “Celebration,” “Cherish” and “Summer Madness,” and quickly brought the sold-out Moon Palace Arena crowd to their feet.

Gloria Gaynor, whose music career has spanned more than 30 years, performed some of her most definitive hits including “Never Can Say Goodbye,” “Let Me Know” and the greatest disco anthem of all time, “I Will Survive.” This year, “I Will Survive” was inducted into the Library of Congress as a national treasure. Gloria will perform a special concert at the Library of Congress on May 6, 2017.

“Moon Palace Cancun has established itself as Cancun’s top entertainment destination by continuously bringing acts that guests of all ages can enjoy to complement its five-star offering,” said Gibran Chapur, Executive Vice President of Palace Resorts. “The combination of Kool & The Gang and Gloria Gaynor made for an incredible show at Moon Palace Arena and is just the first act of a star-studded lineup that will close out the year at our signature property.”

To wrap up a stellar 2016, global phenomenon and contemporary circus, Cirque Eloize ID, will embark on a limited engagement residency from Dec. 22, 2016 through Jan. 3, 2017, at Moon Palace Cancun. On Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, Grammy-winning synth-pop group Duran Duran will take the Moon Palace Arena stage.

Palace Resorts has already announced bands for its 2017 lineup with Survivor set to perform Feb. 25 at Moon Palace Jamaica Grande and Cheap Trick hosting back-to-back shows Mar. 17 and 18.
