Latin America’s Leading Business Forum Announces Expansion Plans in 2013

The most important business forum focused on the needs of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people has announced its plans for 2013 - including announcing a new city for its annual convention, an expanded focus for exhibitors and new sponsorship options.

The 3rd International LGBT Business Expo is expanding its scale and is to be held in one of Mexico’s premier business centers - the city of Guadalajara in the State of Jalisco. The event is produced by Latin America’s leading LGBT conference and exhibitions specialist - LGBT Confex.

As well as a new location, the event takes another step up following significant expansion since its inception in 2011 as the first business event of its kind in the region. In 2011 the event attracted 20 exhibitors and 85 delegates from a number of countries.

In 2012 these numbers expanded to 35 exhibitors - including organizations such as American Airlines, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Mexico City Tourism Board and more - with 165 delegates attending from Costa Rica, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, USA, Thailand, UK, France, Netherlands, Argentina, Chile, and India.

The Expo includes a world-standard conference program with presentations from many of the thought-leaders in the area of LGBT business development - including IBM, American Express and the world’s leading LGBT consulting organization - Out Now Global.

In 2013, the event expands to build focus on several specific industries including automotive, mobile communications, banking & finance, technology, pharmaceuticals and travel. Another innovation extends to the production of short-form small educational workshops - focused on a range of business-related topics and covering specific LGBT consumer interactions with a range of industry segments.

The 3rd International LGBT Business Expo is being held at RIU Plaza Guadalajara Hotel from September 05 to 07 and is the leading forum dedicated to LGBT people and business in the Latin America region. The event is owned and managed by LGBT Confex - the region’s specialist LGBT conference and exhibition company.
