Lithuania Unveiled at International Tourism Fair in Madrid

Lithuania’s Ambassador to Spain and Permanent Representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Audra Plepyt?, presented Lithuanian tourism opportunities in FITUR, one of the largest international tourism trade fairs taking place in Madrid, The Baltic Course informs with reference to the news agency ELTA.

FITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound Iberian American markets.

In 2013, 9,979 exhibiting companies from 167 countries/regions, 116,157 trade participants and 91,082 people from the general public, met during FITUR.

Moreover, FITUR welcomed 7,212 journalists from 59 countries, a turnout that demonstrates the importance of FITUR on the international circuit of tourism sector events.
