Los Cabos to Host Annual VIP Summit

The Los Cabos Tourism Board is gearing up to host its annual VIP Summit, a four-day event designed specifically for 38 of its important trade partners including airlines and tour operators, from the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Russia and Australia. Taking place from Nov. 19 - 22, the VIP Summit offers partners the opportunity to participate in panel discussions with key players of the Los Cabos tourism sector and showcase the newest tourism offerings and plans for the upcoming 2015 travel season.

On Nov. 20, General Director of the Mexico Tourism Board, Rodolfo Lopez Negrete, will be hosting an important meeting for the VIP Summit attendees along with Secretary of Tourism for the State of Baja California Sur, Ruben Reachi, and special guests from the private tourism sector. The meeting will take place at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort.

"This year's VIP Summit is especially poignant as it is the first time we are welcoming back many of our valued travel partners to Los Cabos since Hurricane Odile," said Eduardo Segura, managing director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board. "Hosting this event became a top priority this year, more than any other year prior, since we have just faced one of our biggest challenges to date as a destination. This is a great opportunity for our partners to see how far we've come over the last two months since the hurricane and to instill confidence that Los Cabos is better than ever before."

Over the course of the VIP Summit weekend, participants will take part in a number of informational seminars at Sheraton Hacienda del Mar and other interactive events at a variety of other Los Cabos locations including a welcome cocktail at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, a dinner gala at Canyon Costa Azul, golf at Quivira and a farewell lunch in Todos Santos.

This year's VIP Summit will also include the participation of many commercial airline partners from the US, Canada and Mexico whom will hold one-on-one meetings with hotels and tourism companies while in the destination.
