Michoacan Coming Back to Fitur

The state’s Tourism Secretariat is going to reactivate business contacts with Iberian businesspeople, under the coordination by the federal Tourism Secretariat; hold activities at the pavilion of Mexico’s Tourism Promotion Council and meetings with tour operators, within the framework of the International Travel Fair (FITUR).

According to a communiqué, the 36th edition of the utmost world forum for Mexico’s travel industry will be taking place in Madrid, Spain, on January 19 - 24.

For Michoacan, the profitability of the event is shown by the statistic data that ranks Spain and other European countries as the third and most important market, right behind the United States and Canada.

Michoacan attends the fair with a different offer that allows it to compete in the international market, with unique allures that will attract the European public.

It’s important to highlight that, without putting the national market aside – which plays the leading role according to statistics – international visitors bring about higher consumption and earnings in the entity.

Three officials of the state Tourism Secretariat will be representing Michoacan in FITUR 2016: ministry Liliana Lopez Buenrostro, Promotion undersecretary David Hernandez Damota and Promotion director Ilse Soto.
