MSC Cruises Teams with Samsung to Equip Next-Gen Ships

MSC Cruises announced that it had had entered into a strategic partnership with Samsung to fully equip all of the company’s next-generation ships with the latest technology.

The Swiss-based, privately-owned cruise line will team up with the global technology leader to equip MSC Cruises’ new vessels with the most innovative Samsung cabin televisions and public screens on the market.

Samsung will also provide specialized equipment for the ships’ medical centers.

The technological overhaul begins with the introduction of the MSC Meraviglia and MSC Seaside ships in June and December 2017, respectively. The new next-generation vessels will feature the following digital solutions and devices:

- Visual displays: In-cabin flat screen HDTV’s, public screens and displays, ad hoc digital signage solutions like augmented reality mirrors.
- Mobile solutions: Smartphones, tablets and accessories for virtual reality and 360° digital experience.
- Medical equipment: Expert technology for on-board medical centers.
- Printing solutions: In support of MSC Cruises’ business needs.

MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato released a statement about the partnership with Samsung:
