NCL Sells Out Epic’s June 24 Trans-Atlantic, Debuts Ship Video
Norwegian Cruise Line announced that the Norwegian Epic’s June 24 seven-day trans-Atlantic sailing from Southampton, England, to New York City is sold out.
The line has launched a wait list. The ship, the largest to berth in the Port of New York, will arrive at Manhattan Cruise Terminal’s Pier 88 on July 1. Country music legend Reba McEntire will christen the ship on July 2 followed by a two-day inaugural sailing.
On July 4, Norwegian Epic will serve as the host venue for the 34th Annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks event. The event includes a national, one-hour, live entertainment broadcast on NBC-TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET. The company released a sneak peek video of Norwegian Epic on May 25 showcasing the finishing touches being made. The video is viewable at www.ncl.com/youtube.
Norwegian Epic will sail alternating seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings from Miami beginning July 10 through April. The Eastern Caribbean itinerary calls in St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Nassau. The Western Caribbean itinerary calls at Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico, and Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras.
From May through October 2011, Norwegian Epic will sail a seven-day Western Mediterranean itinerary from Barcelona to Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Rome (Civitavecchia), Naples and Palma, Majorca, Spain.
