Oceania Cruises to Up the Ante on Cuba

Oceania Cruises is adding more voyages to Cuba in an effort to get a stronger hold on the island nation’s bludgeoning market and a time when more companies are also swinging for the fences as far as Cuba is concerned.

Marina is sailing two more voyages to Havana, Cuba, this month and we recently introduced six additional voyages aboard Insignia this autumn. These new voyages aboard Insignia include calls in Havana, Cienfuegos, and Santiago de Cuba,” said Nikki F. Upshaw, Senior Vice President of Sales with Oceania Cruises.

According to Mrs. Upshaw, these amazing voyages will allow travelers to immerse themselves in the art, music, history, cuisine, and culture of Cuba. These experiences are deeply personal as all of the excursions include fascinating people-to-people exchanges where you not just see Cuba, you will learn about it from the personal stories of Cuban citizens.

“They are very eager to share their culture and learn more about the travelers visiting this idyllic island nation,” she went on to say.

In her opinion, though the Cuban market is a very small piece of her company’s business, it is burgeoning. The addition of Cuba as a destination has put a new focus and shine on the Caribbean region, she said.

“These voyages are selling out very fast and we anticipate adding even more voyages in the spring, summer, and autumn of 2018. Stay tuned,” the Senior Vice President of Sales with Oceania Cruises concluded.
