Pestana Group Walks Off with Multiple World Travel Awards
Pestana Porto Santo Beach Resort & Spa and Pousada de Cascais - Cidadela Hotel & Art District were recognized during the World Travel Awards with titles to the Best All-Inclusive Resort in Europe and Best Conference Hotel in Portugal.
The awarding ceremony took place in Athens, Greece. Described as the Oscars of world tourism, the World Travel Awards are voted by the public and professionals of the industry that, every year, choose the finest representatives of the tourism industry. Divided into ten regions, such as Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, among others, the World Travel Awards exist since 1993.
"We gratefully receive these awards, as they are very important to the sector. It means a lot to the Pestana Group. It’s always very encouraging to be recognized for the work you do and feel that our customers appreciate us, since they are the ones to decide in this vote. Thanks a million to all of you", Luigi Valle, manager of the Pestana Group, said.
Perched on the gorgeous island of Porto Santo, with a nine-kilometer-long white-sand beach, the Pestana Porto Santo Beach Resort & Spa follows the philosophy of preserving the environment. Surrounded by a 30 thousand square-meter tropical garden, this dream-like five-star resort features two outdoor swimming pools that are perfectly combined with the scenery, and 295 rooms, including villas with private pools.
For gourmets, the hotel also counts three restaurants that serve both Italian and Eastern food, and three bars that include the "sunset bar", where you can enjoy a picture-perfect sight of the sea.
Pousada de Cascais is also in front of the sea. 30 km away from Lisbon, that luxurious unity of the Pousadas is a synonym of elegance, sophistication and innovation. This is a true destination within a destination, a unique experience characterized by the variety and flexibility of spaces, both indoor and outdoor.
Pousada de Cascais has been already recommended by The New York Times and described by prestigious travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler as one of the best hotels in the world. In early 2014, it was taken by “Cidadela Art District”, a daring and innovative project that gave a new boost to the facility and targets the promotion of all cultural styles through the interaction between artists and guests.
