Royal Caribbean Sets 2014 Northern Europe, Northeast America Sailings

Royal Caribbean International will operate six ships on 2014 voyages throughout Northeast America and Northern Europe cruises. The 2014 Canada and New England cruises opened for sale March 6 while the Northern Europe sailings will open on March 20.

Independence of the Seas will sail round-trip from Southampton on 12- and 14-night itineraries to the Spanish, French and Italian Rivieras. Two sailings, an 11- and a 12-night round-trip, will visit the Canary Islands and Madeira (Funchal), Portugal, departing Oct. 2 and Oct. 13, 2014.

Also homeporting at Southampton, Adventure of the Seas will offer 12- to 16-night round-trip cruises to the Baltic Sea, Iceland and Norway, as well as Mediterranean sailings.           

Brilliance of the Seas will operate 12- and 13-night Scandinavia and Russia cruises roundtrip from Harwich, England, while Legend of the Seas will operate seven- and eight-night cruises from Copenhagen or Stockholm to the Baltic or Norwegian fjords. From Copenhagen, an 11-night Arctic Circle itinerary, departing June 7, calls as far north as Tromsø and Honningsvåg to the “Land of the Midnight Sun.”

In autumn 2014, four ships will operate in the Northeast U.S. and Canada’s Quebec, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. From Quebec City, four 10- and 11-night cruises aboard Legend of the Seas will call at ports throughout the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Brilliance of the Seas will offer six seven-night autumn sailings to Canada and New England, sailing round-trip from Boston to Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Explorer of the Seas will offer two nine-night fall foliage cruises, departing Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, N.J., on Aug. 28 and Sept. 11. The ship also will alternate a five-night Bermuda and a nine-night “Bermuda & Caribbean” itinerary. From Baltimore, Grandeur of the Seas will operate four departures of an eight-night “Canada & New England” itinerary. These sailings will alternate with a six-night Bermuda itinerary that features a three-day call at the British overseas territory.
