Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess, scheduled to debut in June, will offer private cabanas in its adults-only The Sanctuary and pool. The Sanctuary, which will be 20 percent larger than on the line’s other ships, will feature four Sanctuary Cabanas and two Lotus Spa Cabanas for spa treatments.

The Sanctuary will include rock gardens, topiary planting, atmospheric lighting, plush lounge chairs, circular daybeds, and Serenity Stewards serving healthy refreshments. Space in The Sanctuary can be reserved for $15 for a half-day or $25 for a full day, per person.

The Sanctuary Cabanas offer a television with noise-reducing wireless headphones, cushy sofas, robe and slippers, a welcome cocktail, healthy snacks including nuts and fruit, a stocked mini bar with waters and sodas, as well as a choice of alcoholic options, including beer or wine. Sanctuary Cabanas will be available beginning at $80 for a half day.

The Lotus Spa Cabanas offer a television, plush chairs and two massage tables. A variety of packages will be available for the cabanas. The adults-only Retreat Pool will have more space and seating than the adult pools on other Princess vessels. The new Retreat Cabanas can be reserved from $50 for a half-day.

Passengers reserving cabanas in The Sanctuary or the Retreat Pool can order a gourmet picnic basket from $40 for two people. The baskets will feature a premium bottle of wine, antipasti, sandwiches, pizza and dessert.

Picnic items include spinach salad with Stilton crumble, pancetta chips, toasted pecans and black pepper vinaigrette; ahi tuna poke with Hass avocado, red onions, sesame seeds and wonton skins; and Alfredo’s Surf & Turf Pizza with lobster medallions and beef tenderloin.
