Silversea Cruises Announces Mid-Voyage Land Adventures

Seven new land adventures are among dozens of extended mid-voyage excursions Silversea Cruises is offering in 2011. Unlike a partial-day shore tour, these single- or multiple-day inland adventures are designed to provide a more intimate, in-depth and personal encounter with the local people, history, wildlife and natural attractions that lie just beyond the ports of call.

Among the 2011 mid-voyage land adventures, the “Kangaroo Island Luxury Eco Expedition” in Australia is offered on the Silver Shadow’s Jan. 19 voyage, sailing roundtrip from Sydney, at $4,799 per person, double. The “Australian Frontiers & Train Journey” program is also offered on the Silver Shadow’s Jan. 19 voyage at $7,799.

The “Principality of Andorra” program is offered on the Silver Spirit’s May 3 sailing from Athens to Southampton at $999. And the “Solovki -- Pearl of the Russian North” program is offered on the Silver Cloud’s July 30 voyage sailing roundtrip from Copenhagen at $1,299. All prices feature deluxe accommodations (if overnight stays are required), transfers, guided sightseeing and some meals.
