Spain to Host the Fourth International Cruise Summit in November
The International Cruise Summit 2014 organized by Cruises News Media Group, returns to Madrid with the aim of making Spain the international reference center for the cruise tourism industry.
In November, Wednesday 12 to Thursday 13, some of the most influential national and international industry professionals will meet in Madrid to discuss the up-to-date situation of aspects such as the current state of the industry worldwide and in Europe, the situation created in Europe by the arrival of new ships and the repositioning of others, demands for new itineraries, modifying destinations, logistics and provisioning of cruise companies , the economic impact of this industry, sales channels and many others.
The celebration of this fourth encounter in our country will strengthen still further Spain's potential as a cruise destination allowing also the analysis of its evolution as a source market for cruise passengers. In both respects Spain is power.
Spain is the second largest destination market for cruise passengers in Europe after Italy. It should be noted that during last year Spain totaled 7,667,805 cruise passengers. Moreover, 500.000 Spaniards chose cruising for their vacation.
