TAME Airlines Launches Route from New York to Guayaquil

Ecuador’s TAME Airlines launched daily direct flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Joaquin de Olmedo International Airport in the business center of Guayaquil.

The country’s minister of tourism, Vinicio Alvarado, joined the inaugural flight to New York on Friday and will participate in an official launch event on November 23.

JFK Airport is located in the Queens section of New York, home to the United States’ largest Ecuadorian population.

“The launch of new daily service to New York represents a major milestone for TAME and for Ecuador’s tourism industry,” said Alvarado.
