TUI Nordic Presents Awards to Two RIU Hotels in Mexico

The hotels Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun and the Riu Palace Mexico, located in Playa del Carmen, have received awards from clients of the tour operator TUI Nordic. The award ceremony took place at the Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula, attended by nearly 100 tourist industry professionals.

This event acknowledges the hotels that have obtained the best scores from TUI Nordic clients, recognition of their excellent customer service, facilities and cuisine.

The Riu Palace Las Americas is an elegant 5-star hotel located in the resort area of Cancun. It has received a Blue Award in the “Special Award for Excellent Performance” category, an accolade given when a hotel obtains the highest scores in customer satisfaction questionnaires.

The Riu Palace Mexico received the “Bronze Special Award for Excellent Performance” due to its high score in the Hotel General Impression category. Recently refurbished, the hotel offers its guests modern facilities on Playa del Carmen’s seafront.

Those RIU staff taking part in the event were María José Rincón, RIU’s Playa del Carmen area manager; Natalia Van Durzen, manager of the ClubHotel Riu Tequila; Elena Calvo, manager of the Riu Playacar; Víctor Padilla, manager of the Riu Palace Las Americas; Oliver Kluth, RIU’s Sales & Contracting Vice-president for the Americas; and Blanca Jaimes, RIU’s Sales Manager for the Mexican Caribbean.

Representatives of TUI Nordic included Henrik Norlin, CEO; Lottie Knutson, Communications Manager; Birthe Madsen, Source Markets Manager; Mikael Ahlerup, Services Manager; Peter Ulwahn, Product and Purchases Manager; and Jan Knutola, Product Manager.
