Volaris announces the launching of a new international route that will connect the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco with Ontario, California. Operations will begin on April 2014. In this way Volaris increases its offer to the United States of America to 13 cities.

At the same time, Ontario is Volaris' seventh destination in California, in addition to: Los Angeles, Oakland/San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, Fresno and Sacramento. With this route, Volaris establishes leadership in terms of seats offered and destinations to and from Guadalajara, reaching a total of 11 international and 18 domestic destinations.

Also, with this new route, Volaris continues expanding point to point connections within the country, aiding the decongestion of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) by having less passengers connecting in that airport.

This route is part of our new program "Volaris with your budget" that offers the lowest guaranteed airfares in the market including 25 kg of checked luggage.

Ontario International Airport services the metropolitan area known as Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario (also known as "Inland Empire"), which according to the United States of America Census Bureau, has more than 4.2 million inhabitants, 62% of them are from Hispanic origin and a great majority are Mexican.
