Windstar Cruises Issues 2011-2012 Voyage Planner
Windstar Cruises’ 2011-12 program will feature voyages in the Baltic, the Holy Land, Europe, Costa Rica and the Caribbean as well as a Signature Collection Host Series line-up. The details are included in Windstar’s 2011-12 Voyage Planner, which has cover art by artist Michael Crampton.
The 312-guest Wind Surf will begin its 2011 season with a series of seven-day roundtrips northbound and southbound from Barbados from January through March. From April through November, Wind Surf operates seven-day Mediterranean cruises from Lisbon, Portugal; Barcelona, Spain; Rome, Italy; Nice, France; Venice, Italy; and Athens, Greece. From December 2011 through March 2012, Wind Surf will sail seven-day northbound and southbound Barbados voyages along with new itineraries between Barbados and St. Martin.
The 148-guest Wind Spirit offers seven-day roundtrips from St. Martin from January through March 2011 and again from December 2011 through March 2012. From April through June, and mid-August through mid-November 2011, Wind Spirit sails Europe and Greek Isles itineraries from Lisbon, Barcelona, Rome, Athens and Istanbul, Turkey. In July and August, Wind Spirit will premiere new European seven-day voyages from Lisbon; Le Havre, France; Oslo, Norway; and Stockholm, Sweden.
The 148-guest Wind Star starts its 2011 season with seven-day Costa Rica cruises roundtrip from Puerto Caldera. From April through mid-October and in November, Wind Star will operate Europe and Greek Isles itineraries from Lisbon, Barcelona, Athens, Istanbul, Rome and Venice. In mid-October, Wind Star premieres two Holy Land voyages -- a 10-day Athens-to-Ashdod, Israel, itinerary and an 11-day Ashdod-to-Athens cruise. In December, Wind Star will sail a 14-day Panama Canal cruise followed by a seven-day Costa Rica roundtrip from Puerto Caldera. From January through March 2012, Wind Star will operate four new seven-day Costa Rica itineraries with a Panama Canal transit along with seven-day roundtrip Puerto Caldera cruises.
Windstar’s Connoisseur Collection offers back-to-back itineraries that rarely repeat a port. Eleven 14-day itineraries are available in Europe and the Caribbean with one 18-day itinerary showcasing the Holy Land and Greek Isles.
Windstar’s Signature Collection Host Series offers guests the chance to travel with experts in winemaking, culinary arts, photography, gardening and wealth management. Top winemakers scheduled to sail include Daniel Baron of Silver Oak Cellars; Chris Figgins of Leonetti Cellar; Tor and Susan Kenward of Tor Kenward Family Wines; Bob Iantosca of Gloria Ferrer; Julia Iantosca of Lasseter Family Winery; and David Gianulias and Todd Rustman of Levendi Winery. Also scheduled are Chef Fabio Viviani of Firenze Osteria and participant of “Top Chef” season five, celebrity and travel photographer John Russo, garden designer Anthea Guthrie, and Todd Rustman, who will discuss wealth management.
