WTM Latin America to Reveal Emerging Industry Trendsetters
The third WTM Latin America, taking place at Expo Centre Norte in conjunction with the 43rd Braztoa Meeting, has teamed up with leading research provider Euromonitor International to compile the WTM Latin America Trends Report, highlighting emerging travel trends in the Latin American market.
The WTM Latin America Trends Report 2015 in association with Euromonitor International will follow in the footsteps of the WTM Global Trends Report which is presented annually at WTM in London, also in association with Euromonitor International, and has had a tendency for predicting major trends in the travel industry since 2006.
Last year saw some exciting new trends to come out of the WTM Global Trends Report such as the rise of the ‘MAMIL’ which suggests that the Americas are seeing an increase in ‘middle aged men in lycra’, ditching golf tourism in preference of cycling. Another was the Braggies - the new ‘selfie’ where Hotels are encouraging guests’ to post photos on social media in exchange for rewards or perks.
The eagerly awaited WTM Latin America Trends Report will similarly identify the trends set to shape the industry but in the key Latin American regions, that is, Brazil, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
A press conference held on the opening day Wednesday 22 April from 14.30 – 15.30 at WTM Latin America will reveal the trends and offer insight into to the size and shape of travel and tourism and identify pressing industry issues, emerging brands, destinations and demographics, growth categories and consumer trends.
The session will also be replicated for trade on Thursday 23 April at 18.00 – 19.00 in the main theatre, offering delegates insight to aid them with differentiating and innovating their products and destinations.
