
United Airlines made it clear Thursday it intends to offer regular commercial flights between the U.S. and Cuba, saying it would look to offer service from its Houston and Newark hubs to the Caribbean island. The Chicago-based carrier's statement came Thursday.

Delta Airlines is making a concerted expansion push in the Caribbean, and Grenada is the latest beneficiary. Delta will be launching a new weekly service between Atlanta and Grenada this summer, according to Grenada’s government.

This decision by the airline to fly to Tobago follows two years of negotiations between the Division of Tourism and Transportation of the Tobago House of Assembly and the airline's management.
