Air France’s top executives gathered in New York City this week to deliver a message to the aviation market. They want their airline to be recognized as among the top three in the world—and they are investing heavily to make their service on par with the best.

A new air service started 26 June 2014 connecting Georgetown, Guyana, with New York, USA, on a 4 times weekly all year round basis. This direct route is operated on-board a B767-200(ER) by an American carrier - Dynamic Airways, whose CEO, Paul Kraus, announced that the carrier is undergoing a phase of expansion.

The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board announced this week that VI Airlink would be launching new VIP air service to connect with the arrival and departure of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic flights between London Gatwick and Antigua.

United Airlines will not operate Newark-Bermuda service between Dec. 3 and April 2, due to lack of demand. The airline will launch a weekly nonstop flight between Chicago O'Hare and Belize on Dec. 20, the first nonstop service between the two points. The seasonal service will run through early May 2015.

This week, the aviation unions of the ITF (International Transport Workers' Federation) Network of LATAM Unions in Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru and Colombia will be taking action to support the mechanics of LAN Peru and the flight attendants of LAN Argentina.
