GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes S.A., the largest low-cost and low-fare airline in Latin America, has signed a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, an airline headquartered in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global passenger traffic results for May showing demand growth of 6.2 percent compared to May 2013. While this represented a deceleration compared to April year-over-year traffic growth of 7.6 percent, the performance is indicative of improving demand drivers.
