Lufthansa’s tenth Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental has landed at Frankfurt Airport. The “dash-8” is just one of seven brand-new airliners that will be joining the Group in February and March. Over the next few weeks, these ultra-modern jets will be arriving like pearls on a necklace at Frankfurt.

In the first month of 2014 Caribbean regional media reported that LIAT has had to choose between paying employee salaries and paying aircraft lease charges in order to maintain flight operations. The LIAT fleet was reportedly due to reduce to only nine aircraft last December.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched three weekly flights to and from Santiago de Chile. It is KLM’s ninth destination in Central and South America which emphasizes the importance of long-haul flights for this developing region.
