Ecuadorean airline TAME resumed flights to Venezuela following an agreement under which the Venezuelan central bank will release funds owed to the company, a company official said.

Ryanair is opening a new base in Lisbon in April. It will operate four new routes to Manchester, Dole and Marseille in France, and Pisa, according to Ryanair’s Chief Commercial Officer, David O’Brien.

Fort Lauderdale-based Tropic Ocean Airways will launch twice-weekly scheduled seaplane service from Fort Lauderdale to Hope Town, Great Abaco in the Bahamas Out Islands on Feb. 14.

Copa Airlines, subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA, today announced growth plans for the first half of 2014, which include the launch of new direct flights from Panama to: Montreal; Canada, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Georgetown, Guyana. In addition, Copa will add aircraft to its fleet, for a 10 percent growth in capacity.

During the first day of the service launch, the airline carried about 5,000 passengers on 54 Discount Class flights on Boeing 737 and Tu-214 aircraft.
