
Already experiencing difficulties in getting its Irish Air Operator Certificate (AOC), now the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), which represents nearly 50,000 pilots working for 32 U.S. and Canadian airlines, is urging the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to reject NAI’s application for a foreign air carrier permit.

US Virgin Islands Governor John de Jongh has expressed disappointment with the decision by Seaborne Airlines to relocate its corporate offices from the USVI to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The regional airline announced the move on December 18, which will mean the loss of about 88 jobs on St Croix.

For the first time ever there is a red-eye flight to the Jewel and it comes courtesy of Delta Airlines, after much planning and meetings between the airline company and Belize’s Airline Development Committee. But, in addition to that, the flight also goes down in history as the first direct flight from Los Angeles to Belize.

Frontier Airlines’ new nonstop seasonal service between its Denver, Colo. (DEN) hub and Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), began on Sunday. The new weekly flights are Denver’s only winter nonstop to the Caribbean.
