Two Skytrax Awards Go to Air France VIP Lounge

Air France has nabbed a couple of quality awards for the excellence of its La Premiere VIP lounge at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, a distinction that underscores its position as the world’s finest facility of its kind. The lounge’s restaurant –its menu is designed by chef Alain Ducasse- also grabbed the award to the best menu choice for a top-class VIO lounge.
The recognitions were handed over to Air France in the month of July, in the course of Skytrax’s World Airline Awards held in London.
“I’m proud of these awards we have received in recognition to all the efforts done by our staff on a daily basis in a bid to provide the highest quality service our customers can get,” said Frederic Gagey, president and delegate counselor of Air France, during the award ceremony. “This recognition shows that our strategy of improving our products and services is really paying off, and this is driving us to step up our endeavors in all fronts, both on the ground and up in the air, in order to get the highest quality standards at a world level.”
Each year, Skytrax puts out a highly-respected ranking of airlines and airports from around the world that serve as benchmarks within the industry.
Designed by architect Didier Lefort, La Premiere offers passengers over 1,000 square meters of space to eat, lay back, work or just take a rest. The library harbors a vast number of newspapers, magazines and books to choose from. Passengers can keep track of their flight schedules on big-screen TV sets.
