Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V., the largest global airline in Mexico, reports operating statistics for June 2013. Grupo Aeromexico's demand in June, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), increased 3.4% year-on-year.

Cuban Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero arrived in the city of Sao Paulo aboard a Cubana de Aviacion aircraft, to resume direct flights to Brazil and meet with authorities of this sector. The Cubana de Aviacion aircraft landed yesterday at the Sao Paulo international airport.

The Bahamas’ tourism product is expected to receive a boost early next year from Russia. Prime Minister Perry Christie recently made the announcement that, come January 2014, there will be direct charter flights between The Bahamas and Russia.

Air Canada Rouge, a budget tour operator owned by the Canadian flag carrier, began operations into Cuba on Saturday with a flight from Toronto to Jardines del Rey. A total of 139 passengers flew on Saturday to Cayo Coco.
