Port St. Maarten continues to work to increase destination cruise numbers after a dip in 2016.

Carnival Corporation is adding a pair of new ships to its development pipeline.

Pearl Seas Cruises' Pearl Mist left Port Everglades on Jan. 17 bound for Cuba, the first ship in recent memory to depart on that itinerary from the Fort Lauderdale port.

President of Holland America Line Orlando D. Ashford has just been elected chair of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC).

The port is making the leap not by bringing in the top-of-the-line megaships, but rather relying on refurbished, smaller ships, a growing population and easy-to-reach destinations.

Carnival Cruise Line ships is adding Princess Cays to six different itineraries beginning in May 2017. The private Bahamian island is expected to receive 40 calls in 2017 and 98 the following year.
