Disney Cruise Line has announced the newest addition to its Caribbean itineraries for 2018: Bonaire. Limited-time engagements in Puerto Rico and California will also offer Disney Cruise guests the opportunity to visit port of calls in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexican Riviera from January through May.

Sir Richard Branson has announced a new name for his forthcoming cruise ship line, Virgin Voyages. The first sailing is planned out of Miami in 2020 to the Caribbean.

That’s been buoyed in large part by the massive new Amber Cove cruise port complex in Puerto Plata, which was developed by Carnival Cruise Line.

The company has announced plans to power its newest class of ships with liquefied natural gas and introduce the use of fuel cell technology.

The Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet continues as Seven Seas Voyager is scheduled for its renovation later this month.
