
Royal Caribbean International has announced several offers to help agents sell during CLIA’s National Cruise Vacation Week, Oct. 17 to 21. The line is offering onboard credit for select 2012 Alaska cruise-tours and Royal Incentive Rewards to help drive business even after the week has concluded.

Azamara Club Cruises has announced its 2013 line-up of voyages, featuring a total of 69 cruises aboard the Azamara Journey and the Azamara Quest. Select Azamara voyages also coincide with cultural celebrations, such as Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro, the Monaco Grand Prix, the Andalusian Festival and the British Open.

The Dominica government is making a bid to be placed back on the itinerary of Carnival Cruise Lines, almost a year after it was removed. Tourism Minister Ian Douglas said this is the main agenda item of his visit to this week’s Florida Caribbean Cruise Association annual meeting in Puerto Rico.

Several cruise ships will be visiting St. Kitts for the first time during the 2011/2012 Cruise Ship Season. This was disclosed Tuesday by St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas during this weekly live radio call-in program “Ask the Prime Minister.”

TUI Cruises signed a contract with STX Finland Oy to build a 97,000-ton cruise ship for delivery in spring 2014. The vessel will be built in the Turku shipyard. TUI Cruises has an option for another ship.

Azamara Club Cruises’ new 2012 Destination Guide details its 64 sailings next year to 181 ports in 57 countries. The guide outlines Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest itineraries, notes arrival and departure times, and denotes late-night and overnight stays. Color-coding allows for easy planning, with new features such as individual voyage maps, highlights for each voyage, as well as area average temperatures, and lead pricing next to the respective itinerary listing.
