
Venezuela's attraction as a leisure destination is a part of the Venezuelan proposal at the International Tourism Fair of Latin America (FIT) being held in Buenos Aires (Argentina) from November 3 to 6, said official sources here today. According to the Ministry of Tourism, the country will have a booth at the event where it will exhibit its natural and patrimonial beauties, especially the product called "Sun and Beach."

A number of US companies have shown interest in products from Guyana including its rum, condiments and opportunities in the tourism sector. This interest was demonstrated at the recent Caribbean Trade Center's second annual travel, trade and tourism business expo here.

Mexico welcomed the Ministers of Tourism and national representatives who attended the 94th Session of the Executive Council of the United Nations' World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), held on October 24 and 25 in the city of Campeche. The meeting was attended by representatives from more than 50 nations.

Often, some travel trade exhibitions communicate results inflating the numbers of attendees and claiming excellent evaluation of the show by the participants, without any proof. This is not the case with MITM Euromed, Meetings and Incentive Travel Market and CULTOURFAIR, International Cultural Travel Fair, which, according to the organizers, ask their exhibitors and buyers to rate the event as “poor”, “fair”, “good” or “excellent”.

At the 20th anniversary of the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT), Uruguay will participate at the exhibition for the first time. MITT is Russia’s largest travel exhibition, in 2012 the show attracted over 3,000 exhibitors and an attendance of 82,933.
