The tourism industries of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands have agreed to sign a multi-destination marketing arrangement later this year.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Choose Chicago today announced that visitors to the city in 2017 reached 55.2 million – a new record and 2.5 percent increase over the previous year.

European tourism remains in top form, says the Canada Operations Group of the European Travel Commission (ETC), which met in Toronto recently to review last year’s performance and discuss 2018 campaign initiatives.

The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) announced the official tourist arrivals data for 2017 from target source markets U.S.A., Canada, the Caribbean, Germany and the U.K.

Following the impact of two category five hurricanes in September, the US Virgin Islands department of tourism has developed a 150-day rolling marketing plan to share with industry stakeholders.

The latest data from the National Travel and Tourism Office shows a four-percent decline in inbound travel and a 3.3% drop in travel spending. That translates into $4.6 billion in lost spending and the loss of 40,000 jobs.
