Cuba and Jamaica have agreed promote multi-destination tourism between the two countries, according to Jamaica minister of tourism Edmund Bartlett.

Zegrahm Expeditions has announced two new Cuba itineraries for the coming year. In late 2016 into early 2017, the company will offer an 11-day overland itinerary, as well as a 17-day expedition cruise onboard a small ship.

While tourism officials in the Dominican Republic touted the destination's booming visitor numbers at the country's annual tourism conference here last week, it also was refreshing to hear them acknowledge challenges that lie ahead.

Individual U.S. travelers can go to Cuba, though many U.S.-based tour operators — even those helping organize individual travel — say going solo spells disaster.

Holiday makers are furious as Spain announced that it will be charging up to £70 for taking a break in countries like Majorca and Ibiza this summer. The fee will be charged from tourists after July 1.

The Brazilian Ministry of Tourism formed a committee that should research all opportunities to further develop recreational fishing. The aim is to attract more visitors interested in fishing and thus boost the tourist arrivals.
