
Travel Leaders Group released its top luxury travel trends for 2016 including the top up-and-coming destinations led by Cuba. The list also includes African Safaris, Iceland and Antarctica.

The twin island state of Antigua & Barbuda in the Caribbean saw an impressive double digit visitor growth every month from March to November 2015.
International tourist arrivals grew by 4.4 percent in 2015 to reach a total of 1,184 million in 2015, according to the latest UNWTO World Tourism Barometer. Some 50 million more tourists (overnight visitors) travelled to international destinations around the world last year as compared to 2014.
The Expedia group, one of the world's largest online travel companies, reported on Tuesday at the Caribbean Travel Marketplace organized by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) an increase in travel demand of 20 percent year over year for the Caribbean via the company’s platforms during the third quarter of 2015 with significant growth reported across the entire region.

The numbers are in, Costa Rica had 2.665.000 visitors in 2015, a growth of 5.5 percent over the previous year, according to the Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (ICT) – Tourism Board.
