The future of aviation safety hinges on the industry's ability to adopt a proactive approach, identifying and mitigating risks before accidents occur. Artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced computing are key to realizing this vision, but how can aviation stakeholders fully utilize this potential?

At the 77th annual International Aviation Safety Summit (IASS) in Rio de Janeiro, experts will discuss how AI, data sharing, and advanced analysis are reshaping aviation safety. Representatives from leading safety programs, including the Brazilian Commercial Aviation Safety Team, the U.S. Aviation Safety Team, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s Data4Safety program, will explore how integrating diverse safety data can enhance risk management globally.

In addition, a dedicated panel of technology experts will dive into how AI is transforming aviation safety processes, offering new insights into data patterns, hazard relationships, and factors that affect flight safety.

The IASS 2024 will take place from November 5–7 at the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro. For more information, visit the event page on the Flight Safety Foundation's website.
