HBX Group, a leading player in the TravelTech B2B ecosystem, has announced the launch of a significant investment fund aimed at fostering innovation within the travel sector.

This initiative, spearheaded by TravelTech Lab by HBX Group, is set to allocate up to €50 million to support startups and scaleups developing cutting-edge technological solutions. Additionally, the fund will invest in corporate venture capital within the travel industry.

Building on the success of TravelTech Lab, established in 2023, this new investment vehicle is designed to advance HBX Group's mission of driving technological innovation in travel. The fund, with its initial €50 million endowment, will strategically invest over the next decade, tailoring investments to the needs of each selected startup to ensure the most promising technologies receive adequate support to flourish. This move underscores HBX Group's longstanding commitment to innovation, a cornerstone of the company since its inception in 2001.

TravelTech Lab by HBX Group has already made significant strides, partnering with over 300 startups from diverse markets including Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, and South Korea. The Lab also collaborates with prestigious organizations like New York University's School of Professional Studies Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality and Mastercard's Tourism Innovation Hub. These collaborations have facilitated substantial advancements in the travel sector, benefiting both industry stakeholders and travelers.

"Our goal at HBX Group is to find solutions to unsolved challenges through innovation, thereby improving the customer experience," Huss stated. He highlighted the creation of TravelTech Lab in 2023 as a pivotal step in this direction. "Our investment fund will not only facilitate our access to future technologies but will also promote the development of a global ecosystem of startups and scaleups in the travel sector."

Since its founding in 2001, HBX Group has been a pioneer in the travel sector, consistently prioritizing innovation and customer experience enhancement.
