Austin’s Fall 2024 Event Lineup: From SEC Football to Formula 1 and Music Festivals

Austin is gearing up for an action-packed fall season, with major events ranging from sports to music festivals and culinary experiences.

The University of Texas Longhorns kick off their first Southeastern Conference (SEC) season at home games from September to November, drawing excitement to D.K.R. Texas Memorial Stadium. Meanwhile, film enthusiasts can dive into genre cinema at Fantastic Fest from September 19-26, and music lovers will enjoy two weekends of the Austin City Limits Music Festival, October 4-6 and 11-13.

For soccer fans, Austin’s Q2 Stadium hosts the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team on October 12 and the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team on October 24. Racing fans will flock to the Formula 1 Pirelli United States Grand Prix from October 18-20, with concerts by Eminem and Sting adding extra excitement.

Other can’t-miss events include the Austin Film Festival (October 24-31), the LEVITATION Music Festival (October 31-November 3), and the Austin Food + Wine Festival (November 1-3). The season closes with the Texas Book Festival on November 16-17, celebrating literature and culinary arts.
