Belize achieved a historic milestone in 2024, welcoming 562,405 overnight visitors—a 21% increase from 2023 and an 11.8% rise over pre-pandemic levels in 2019. Notably, 11 out of 12 months broke monthly records, with March seeing the highest influx of 69,202 visitors.

Renowned for its cultural richness and breathtaking landscapes, Belize's tourism success reflects the dedication of its industry. The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) credits sustainable tourism initiatives and efforts to enhance the visitor experience as key factors driving growth.

As 2025 begins, Belize aims to build on this momentum by attracting new travelers and expanding its appeal across Latin America, a growing source market. With its UNESCO-listed Barrier Reef, lush rainforests, and ancient Mayan sites, Belize offers a diverse array of experiences for nature lovers and culture enthusiasts alike.

Travelers can reach Belize via Copa Airlines through Panama or from the U.S. via Miami, Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta, thanks to American Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta Airlines.

Looking ahead, Belize remains committed to preserving its natural and cultural heritage while continuing to elevate its reputation as a premier destination in Central America.
