Popular activities among solo travelers include socializing at bars or parties, though these activities are less common among women, with only 25% participating compared to a global average of 31%.

The rise of solo travel has also led to new trends in accommodation and travel experiences. One in five travelers now considers joining group trips with strangers, such as guided tours to exotic locations or safaris, as a viable option for socializing and exploring new places. Additionally, alternative lodging options like couchsurfing, where travelers stay with local hosts, have gained traction, with 9% of respondents choosing this method to feel safer and more connected in their destinations.

As solo travel continues to gain momentum, it is reshaping how people explore the world. For many, especially in countries like Mexico, this trend offers a unique opportunity to discover new places and connect deeply with different cultures and communities.
