Qusai Al-Fakhri Joins WTTC Executive Committee

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has appointed Qusai Al-Fakhri, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Development Fund (TDF), to its Executive Committee. With over 20 years of expertise in corporate and investment banking, along with a strong background in tourism, Al-Fakhri’s leadership is set to support WTTC’s strategic objectives.

Al-Fakhri has held prominent roles throughout his career, including Investment Advisor to the Minister of Tourism in Saudi Arabia, Co-Founder of Tiraz AlArabia, and CEO of Al Ajial Holding. His extensive experience also includes positions on boards for government and financial entities, such as AlRajhi Takaful and Samba Financial Group.

Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO, welcomed Al-Fakhri’s appointment, highlighting his blend of expertise in investment and tourism as instrumental to WTTC’s future plans, particularly in the rapidly growing Saudi market. “Mr. Al-Fakhri’s insight will be invaluable as WTTC navigates the evolving landscape of Travel & Tourism globally,” she remarked.

Al-Fakhri expressed his commitment to WTTC’s mission, noting that Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a major tourism destination aligns well with WTTC’s goals. “I look forward to collaborating with industry leaders to foster sustainable, innovative growth for global tourism,” he said.
