Air Premia Expands Fleet, Prepares for Network Growth in 2025
Air Premia, Korea’s leading hybrid service carrier, has announced the arrival of its sixth Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marking its first fleet expansion in over 18 months. The new aircraft will soon begin operations, with plans to serve long-haul routes, including Seoul to New York. By the end of 2025, the airline aims to grow its fleet to nine aircraft as part of its ambitious expansion strategy.
The newly added Dreamliner features a 344-seat configuration, offering 35 premium economy seats with a spacious 46-inch seat pitch and 309 economy seats. Notably, economy class seating will be upgraded to provide an even more comfortable 33-inch seat pitch. Built with over 50% carbon composite materials, the Boeing 787-9 ensures 20% better fuel efficiency, making it an ideal choice for long-haul routes with a range exceeding 15,000 km.
In line with its expansion plans, Air Premia is set to introduce new routes in early 2025, connecting Seoul with destinations such as Da Nang, Hong Kong, Honolulu, and Seattle. The airline currently operates flights to major cities like Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo Narita, and Bangkok. This diversified network reflects its commitment to enhancing customer convenience and achieving profitability.
Air Premia’s hybrid service model combines premium amenities with affordability, embodying its mission of delivering "premium yet essential services." The airline’s fleet expansion aligns with this philosophy, providing modern, comfortable travel options at competitive prices for both regional and international passengers.
By adding three more Dreamliners next year, Air Premia is positioning itself as a key player in the competitive aviation market. "Fleet expansion is crucial for growth," said Seung-shin Park, Head of Public Relations. "Our balanced route portfolio aims to meet customer needs while driving sustainable profitability."
