Alaska Airlines to Launch Nonstop Flights Between Seattle and Seoul

Alaska Airlines has announced the launch date for its new nonstop service between Seattle and Seoul Incheon, operated by Hawaiian Airlines. Beginning September 12, 2025, travelers can fly comfortably to South Korea’s capital aboard the Airbus A330-200, a long-haul, widebody aircraft. This new international route, first announced last December, is now available for booking at alaskaair.com and hawaiianairlines.com.
The integration of Alaska and Hawaiian is turning Seattle into the West Coast’s newest premier global gateway. By 2030, the airline plans to operate at least 12 nonstop international routes with widebody aircraft from Seattle, including Seoul Incheon and Tokyo Narita. Daily flights between Seattle and Tokyo Narita will launch on May 12.
Alaska Airlines’ Seattle hub is the largest on the West Coast, offering nonstop service to 104 destinations across North America, providing travelers with convenient options and seamless connections.
“With our extensive network, we can connect guests through our global gateway in Seattle, offering nonstop service to Seoul and Tokyo, along with additional connections to other Asian destinations through our global partners,” said Andrew Harrison, chief commercial officer at Alaska Airlines. “As we expand our global network from Seattle in the coming years, we’ll introduce new international routes to exciting destinations we know our guests will love.”
The new Seattle–Seoul Incheon service launches just in time for Chuseok, Korea’s Thanksgiving Day, one of the country’s most significant holidays, celebrated in early October. This route will allow travelers to visit family and friends in South Korea while enjoying Hawaiian Airlines’ award-winning service and hospitality.
