In an exciting development for travelers, American Airlines announced the launch of a new non-stop service to South Caicos, Turks and Caicos Islands (XSC).

Starting February 15, 2025, American will be the only U.S. carrier to operate flights to South Caicos Airport. This exclusive service will run twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, connecting Miami International Airport (MIA) to XSC.

The new route will be serviced by Embraer 175 aircraft, accommodating 76 passengers, including 12 in first class. This initiative is part of American’s strategy to expand its international reach, supplementing their existing flights to Providenciales International Airport (PLS) in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

"With the launch of American's second destination in the Turks and Caicos Islands, we are excited to continue to strengthen our international presence, including a winter operation of more than 190 peak-day flights to 44 destinations in the Caribbean and Atlantic," said Jose A Freig, American's vice president of international operations. "With this new service, as well as our additional winter flights, we expect to grow our Caribbean and Atlantic operation by more than 5 percent compared to the prior year, highlighting our commitment to the region and providing our customers with an unparalleled network."

This expansion underscores American Airlines’ dedication to enhancing connectivity to the Caribbean and Atlantic regions. Travelers can look forward to seamless access to the serene and picturesque South Caicos, known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant marine life.

Tickets for the new service are already available for purchase on American Airlines' website, aa.com, and through the airline’s mobile app. The detailed operating schedule for the new route can also be found online, making it convenient for passengers to plan their travel well in advance.

With this new service, American Airlines continues to demonstrate its commitment to offering diverse and expansive travel options, ensuring passengers have access to some of the most sought-after destinations in the Caribbean and beyond.
