Following the success of this season's Delta flights to Spain, the U.S. airline is expanding its service between Barcelona and The Big Apple. Effective May 31, 2024, Delta Air Lines will launch a second daily service from Barcelona to New York-JFK, complementing the airline's existing daily service from the airport to Atlanta.

"Offering 14 weekly services between Barcelona and New York gives our customers even more travel options to fly to the Big Apple and other sought-after locations throughout the United States," said Matteo Curcio, Delta's Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI). "Catalonia is a hugely popular destination for Americans and a hub for tourism and commerce, while New York is the world's leading financial center and gateway to the Americas. Expanding our links between these two cities is an important catalyst for future growth in the business and leisure sectors," Curcio added.

Delta will operate its second service from Barcelona to New York using a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 216 seats with Delta One full-flat beds, Delta Premium Select, as well as Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin service.

Customers will be able to enjoy an extensive food and beverage program that includes both carefully selected menu options as well as specialty appetizers and premium beer, wine and spirits options. All customers can enjoy a wide selection of in-flight entertainment options, as well as stay connected with paid Wi-Fi and enjoy free mobile messaging.

During the summer months, Delta will operate a combined 35 weekly flights between Spain and the United States. In addition to its daily services to Barcelona, Delta will operate daily flights from Madrid to Atlanta and New York-JFK.

Customers flying through Delta's Atlanta and New York-JFK hubs will enjoy easy connections through a wide network of onward destinations, including Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
