Vietnam Airlines Chooses Sabre's Network Planning, Optimization Technology

Vietnam Airlines has selected Sabre Corporation's Network Planning and Optimization technology to support its international expansion and enhance operational efficiency. The flag carrier of Vietnam is poised to grow its global network, with new routes to the US, Germany, India, Italy, and the Philippines, and future plans to explore additional destinations across Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia.
As the airline plans to expand its global footprint, the right technology will be crucial in guiding data-driven decisions. Nguyen Quang Trung, Director of Corporate Planning and Development at Vietnam Airlines, emphasized, "Sabre’s tools will help us optimize route selection, create efficient schedules, and remain agile in a rapidly evolving market, ultimately benefiting our passengers and business."
Vietnam Airlines will utilize Sabre's suite of solutions, including:
- Fleet Manager to match aircraft capacity with demand,
- Profit Manager to forecast and maximize profitability,
- Network Manager to enhance hub optimization and codeshare planning, and
- Schedule Manager to design revenue-focused schedules.
Additionally, the airline has already been distributing its fares and offers through Sabre's global travel marketplace.
