Volaris El Salvador Launches Direct Flights to Miami
Volaris El Salvador has officially launched a new direct route connecting San Salvador with Miami, Florida, offering Salvadorans and Central Americans a convenient and affordable option to one of the most popular U.S. destinations. Flights will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—departing San Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez Airport (SAL) and arriving at Miami International Airport (MIA).
The addition of the Miami route strengthens Volaris El Salvador’s commitment to enhancing connectivity for Salvadorans traveling to the United States for both personal and business purposes. With affordable fares starting at $99 for SAL-MIA and $70 for MIA-SAL (including taxes), this new route provides a budget-friendly choice for families, friends, and business travelers.
Ronny Rodriguez, Volaris' Director of Sustainability and Corporate Development, emphasized that expanding their U.S. network remains a priority, now reaching six American cities. Volaris El Salvador is also contributing to reconnecting Salvadoran families who have been separated for years, particularly those in the Miami area, which hosts a significant Salvadoran diaspora.
Federico Anliker, president of the Autonomous Port Executive Commission, highlighted that the new route is an essential step as the airport approaches record-breaking passenger numbers, particularly with the holiday season approaching. This route marks the eleventh for Volaris El Salvador, which also operates in major U.S. hubs like New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Houston, and Oakland, and throughout Central America.
Homero Morales, Executive Director of El Salvador’s Civil Aviation Authority (AAC), expressed pride in supporting this route's launch, which he believes will further El Salvador’s economic and tourism development. Passengers can now book tickets on the Volaris website.
