Oceania Cruises' Riviera to Debut in Australia, New Zealand

Oceania Cruises, renowned for its focus on culinary excellence and destination-rich experiences, is preparing its luxurious 1,250-guest ship Riviera for its inaugural season of voyages through Australia and New Zealand.
Riviera will be the only Oceania Cruises vessel in the region offering exclusive itineraries with a distinct culinary emphasis. Guests can dive into the local food culture with small-group shore excursions that take them to markets, rice fields, and truffle farms, showcasing Australia’s celebrated seafood and New Zealand’s renowned lamb.
The 2026 Australia and New Zealand season will run from November 2025 to March 2026, featuring a variety of itineraries ranging from 14 to 35 days, with departures from multiple ports across the region. These voyages will include hidden gems like Mystery Island in Vanuatu, Dunedin in New Zealand, and Kangaroo Island in South Australia, alongside iconic destinations such as Sydney, offering a blend of discovery and familiar sights. With hundreds of excursions available, guests can choose from a wide selection of activities, including chef-led Culinary Discovery Tours™ at local restaurants or exploring the region through the eyes of local fishermen and farmers.

The award-winning culinary team has introduced a new class for this season called “Down Under Abundance” – a culinary experience that highlights the rich ingredients of Australia and New Zealand. Designed in collaboration with Oceania Cruises' "Down Under" chefs, this class celebrates the freshest offerings from the sea, mountains, and vineyards of the region.
