Royal Caribbean is expanding its presence in California with a new homeport in San Diego for the winter 2026/27 season.

The Serenade of the Seas will offer three-, four-, and seven-night itineraries to the Mexican Riviera, including stops in Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and, for the first time, La Paz, Mexico.

“We’re thrilled to offer more opportunities for West Coast travelers to experience a Royal Caribbean vacation,” said Vicki Freed, senior vice president of sales, trade support, and service. She emphasized the cruise line’s continued growth, including its return to Los Angeles and the addition of new destinations.

San Diego becomes the line’s second homeport in California, following Los Angeles, where Royal Caribbean operates four different ships.

Bookings for the new San Diego-based sailings are now open.
