Rimini Prepares to Host the Tourism Industry at TTG Travel Experience

Everything is ready to stage in Rimini the 60th edition of TTG Travel Experience, (www.ttgexpo.it ) the B2B most successful and lasting tourism show in Italy.

It will be staged in the Fiera di Rimini from October 11 to 13 and never as this year, in spite of the serious concerns for the sparks of wars all around, the industry will gather together to find a way and exchange trust.

Jordan will be for the second straight year a partner country, and that is because the various experiences offered to tourists, from archeology to outdoor, from sport to cultural events, establish Italy as the first European market according to the Jordan Ministry of Tourism and Antiquity. TTG Travel Experience, the tourism fair in Rimini, celebrates with important news. The event, signed by Italian Exhibition Group with the international sales leadership for Italian tourist destinations, is preparing to explore two further market segments: foreign destinations in the Mediterranean with TTG MED and luxury tourism with Luxury Event by TTG.

Furthermore, at the same time as TTG, the new InOut format for the contract - which arises from the successes of SIA Hospitality Design, SUN Beach&Outdoor Style and Superfaces - and which also includes the new Greenscape.

This is a major IEG project aimed at key professional figures in the management of the hospitality industry: in the East wing they will find, in a single event, a complete catalog starting from furnishing trends for the hotel industry, to outdoor camping and glamping, in the historic SIA Hospitality Design brand; architectural coverings and materials with Surfaces; equipment and furnishings for seaside tourism with SUN Beach&Outdoor; and the novelty of Greenscape to design external or internal spaces in the name of dialogue with nature, be they gardens, terraces or greenhouses.

Among the distinctive assets of TTG Travel Experience is having fostered a continuous dialogue with its interlocutors, to intercept their requests and satisfy them: this is why over the years the event has been able to build and profile a solid community of foreign buyers from all over the world (particularly USA, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, South America and Canada).

When questioned in the aftermath of the 2022 edition, buyers showed strong interest (86% of the sample) not only in the Italian destination - which last year saw arrivals from abroad grow, reaching 41.8 million ( ISTAT) – but also for other tourist markets, in particular the Mediterranean area. From here the idea of developing TTG MED was born. 

With this initiative, TTG Travel Experience broadens the range of negotiations offered to exhibitors through business meetings designed to facilitate the meeting between the demand of worldwide buyers and the offer of sellers from the entire Mediterranean area, as well as Italy. A choice that increases the relevance of the event in the international panorama of trade fairs.

TTG Aims at the Luxury Market

According to Renaissance in Uncertainty: Luxury Builds on Its Rebound, research by Altagamma conducted by Bain&Company, globally the luxury hospitality market has risen to 191 billion euros, more than doubling its value in 2022 with growth of 110% on an annual basis at current exchange rates. 

A rising trend that also suggests a positive reading of the sales data, still 7% lower in absolute terms compared to 2019, which can be interpreted as a margin for further development. Also according to the report, growth was constant in all regions as with the lifting of movement restrictions, high spenders were finally able to realize travel ambitions previously blocked by Covid.

This is why the 2023 edition of TTG Travel Experience will see the debut of Luxury Event by TTG, a B2B event dedicated to luxury travel which is specifically aimed at professionals in the sector. On the day before the start of the exhibition, a business event is organized with the most qualified international buyers, to encourage one-to-one meetings between high-end tourism operators and to give further strength to this particular travel segment industry, contributing to the development of new commercial agreements.

Three Days of a Trips to the Global Market

The 2023 edition of TTG Travel Experience will be held in the West area of the Rimini exhibition center and will be divided into three main exhibition areas: the Italy section, which aggregates the national tourist offer, the Global Village which collects the tour offer operators and companies producing tourism products and services, and The World with all foreign destinations. To which is added the BeActive focus, which catalyzes the increasingly sought-after trend of active tourism, both in nature with cycle tourism, and in unconventional routes between Italy and abroad, with product clubs and specialized tour operators.

The event also includes the presence of three Arenas where professionals, market analysts, the most important voices in the sector and trade associations will share data, trends and perspectives for the professional public that will arrive in Rimini. TTG Travel Experience is in fact already working to create the 2023 edition of Think Future, the rich schedule of events, talks, seminars and round tables designed to provide updated content and tools to communities of tourism professionals. 

A real event within the event which in 2022 organized over 200 happenings over the 3 days of the event. Book&Go is back, to imagine and find suggestions for describing the trip to agency clients with new perspectives, and TTG Star which rewards the key figures of Italian tourism every year. 

There is also great anticipation for the presentation of Vision +24, the event that inspires the tourism industry of the near future because it presents the most significant trends and innovations in the global world of consumption and makes them available to professional operators.
