Excelencias Group to Launch the Magical Ecuador by Excelencias Awards
The president and founder of the Excelencias Group, Jose Carlos de Santiago, will unveil the call for the first edition of the Magical Ecuador by Excelencias Awards.
The 6th International Smart City Ecuador Congress has been the framework chosen to present these awards, with which the Excelencias Group seeks to recognize the great wealth of Ecuador's cultural, natural and historical heritage.
The Magical Ecuador by Excelencias Awards will reward those Magical Towns in Ecuador that work to maintain and preserve their heritage, culture, tourism development and art, always with an eye on ensuring sustainability in the process.
The presentation will take place next Wednesday, June 21 at 3:00 p.m. (Ecuadorian time). The event will also feature the intervention of the Undersecretary of Competitiveness and Tourism Development of the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador, Carlos Tapia Palacios, along with the President of the Association of Municipalities of Ecuador (AME), Patricio Maldonado Jiménez, and the President of DDG Communications, Dominique Calle.
A Congress Dedicated to the Cities of the Future
The Smart City Ecuador International Congress seeks to promote an exchange of knowledge and ideas among smart cities around the world. This sixth edition will be held on June 20 and 21 at the Metropolitan Convention Center in Quito, the Ecuadorian capital.
The experts participating in this event will provide innovative ideas and solutions to the needs and challenges facing large cities today. With this pooling of knowledge, they will address issues of sustainability, technology, security, financial innovation, quality of life and inclusion, smart mobility, urban planning and architecture.
25 years of Excelencias
The Excelencias Group has celebrated 25 years of being a benchmark in Ibero-America and the Caribbean in the fields of tourism, gastronomy and cultural communication. To celebrate it, it remains true to its mission of supporting and promoting the development of the tourism industry in Ibero-America with new projects like the Magical Ecuador Awards by Excelencias.
In early 2023, the Magicos por Excelencias Awards were presented at Mexico's Tianguis Turístico, a precursor to the project to be carried out in Ecuador. These awards were very well received by the public, with distinctions in the categories of nature, sustainability, oenology, religion, gastronomy, paleontology, culture, heritage and city of excellence.
